Charles J. Colgan, Sr. High School opened its doors in August of 2016. The twelfth high school in Prince William County, Virginia the school was designed to serve as the county's Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA). The theatre program provides students with pre-professional training and college preparedness. The CFPA theatre program provides rigorous conservatory prep classes, master classes with professional artists, and numerous field trips to productions around the DMV and New York. Additionally, the students have the opportunity to be in rehearsal from before the school year begins until the very last day of classes with nine productions produced each year in either the 1600-seat Mainstage or the fully flexible Blackbox.
